Relationship to Practice
Practice Labs was founded within Practice to advance the firm’s long-standing commitment to sustainable, future-focused design. For more than four decades, Practice has shaped human-centered spaces that foster community, collaboration, and resilience, with holistic sustainability as a guiding principle. Practice Labs emerged from that legacy, created to explore sustainability with greater technical depth and applied research.
While deeply inspired by Practice’s dedication to creating spaces that bring joy, belonging, and long-term impact, Practice Labs has grown into an independent sustainability research and consulting entity. Over time, it has expanded its work beyond the studio, collaborating directly with architects, owners, institutions, and multidisciplinary project teams to advance environmental strategy across the built environment.
Today, Practice Labs bridges research, analysis, and design to ensure sustainability is integrated meaningfully at every stage of a project. In every engagement, whether working alongside Practice or partnering with external clients, Practice Labs helps turn sustainability ambition into tangible, measurable impact.
